Chestnut Hill Among Possible 5 Pepe's Pizzas to Open in Area
Pepe's Pizza may be coming to five spots in the Boston area.

Pepe’s Pizza is slated to open in Chestnut Hill this fall, as the Boston Restaurants blog originally reported back in February, in the Mall at Chestnut Bill where Papa Razzi once was.
Pepe’s confirmed in a press release in March that it was indeed coming to The Mall at Chestnut Hill, stating “Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, a third-generation owned and operated pizzeria, which TIME Magazine hailed as “The 13 Most Influential Pizzas of All Time,” has signed a lease to obtain 199 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill, MA, this pizza icon’s next location for their popular coal-fired, brick oven pizza. Renovations will start soon at the former Papa Razzi restaurant space in the space at The Mall at Chestnut Hill. Papa Razzi was a Newton staple for 25 years amid a vibrant and evolving dining scene in this Boston suburb.”
Now, Boston Restaurants says that this Pepe’s location may very well be one of five to open up in the suburbs of Boston, though it mentioned no other specific locations.

“It is not yet known where the Boston-area locations might be, though it sounds like they may be focusing on the suburbs, especially near universities,” reported Boston Restaurants.
The traditional Neapolitan pizza shop has seven locations in Connecticut and New York. Frank Pepe Pizzeria was founded in 1925 by Frank Pepe.
