Chestnut Hill Retailer Helps Deliver Meals To Frontline Workers
The Street is part of a concerted effort to help deliver 500 meals to workers at five area medical facilities, including Newton-Wellesley.
NEWTON, MA â A Chestnut Hill retail center is among five area businesses that are providing meals to frontline workers at local hospitals as a way of recognizing the efforts of healthcare workers in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
The Street, which offers a number of retail, food and entertainment options, is donating food to medical professionals at Newton-Wellesley Hospital on Thursday and Friday as part of a partnership between Massachusetts-based developer WS Development and Fuel The Fight Boston to feed hundreds of frontline workers as well as local restaurants.
The two organization is raising funds to purchase meals from local restaurants that are facing difficult times as the pandemic has shuttered restaurants and limited local eateries to curbside and delivery service during the pandemic.
