Come 'Together' A Musical Call for Unity in Newton March 10
Chorus pro Musica brings "Together" to Newton

Chorus pro Musica, under the direction of Jamie Kirsch, presents Together, a timely program filled with masterpieces that call for unity, on March 10 at First Baptist Church in Newton. Leonard Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms,” reminds us “how good, how pleasant it is, to dwell together in unity.” Bach’s Cantata 140: “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme,” one of his most popular, joyously calls us to fellowship with God, and Arvo Pärt’s “L’Abbe Agathon,” shows how one might achieve divine peace by freely giving to others. The concert will also feature Judith Bingham’s “The Darkness Is No Darkness,” S.S. Wesley’s “Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace” and two Handel duets, “To thee, thou glorious son of worth” from “Theodora” and “Welcome as the dawn of the day” from “Solomon.”
The chorus will be joined by Reginald L. Mobley, countertenor; Sherezade Panthaki, soprano; Jonas Budris, tenor; David McFerrin, baritone.
