Crowne Plaza Evacuated Due To Pipe Burst

More than 250 guests had to be transported to another location.

NEWTON, MA - One of the hundreds of burst pipes in the past couple of days in the Boston area resulted in hundreds of Crowne Plaza Hotel guests being evacuated and moved to another location.

A major water main break late Monday night forced approximately 250 guests from the hotel, which sits above the Mass. Pike.

While crews were able to stop the water leak, there were still concerns about electrical dangers. The hotel closed for the night as power was cut.
