Dancing With the Stars Recap: Doug Flutie Is Sent Home

Fresh off the heels of the partner swap week, Flutie and partner Karina Smirnoff danced to "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire.

NEWTON, MA - Doug Flutie was voted off Monday after week six of "Dancing With the Stars." Though he held his own during a difficult Bollywood number, he received the lowest combined score from judges and the voters at home.

"Just an amazing experience, the whole group as a family," Flutie said about his time on the show. "Thank you guys so much."

At the bottom of the pack after this week were Von Miller and his partner and in a shocking turn, Paige VanZant and her partner.

Former BC Eagle and New England Patriot Doug Flutie escaped the chopping block last week, as all contestants were safe from elimination.

This week, though, the stars are back with their original partners and performing numbers that may seem a little familiar.

In a lineup that includes Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess jiving to "Footloose" and WanyĂĄ Morris and Lindsay Arnold performing a jazzy number to NSYNC's "Bye, Bye, Bye," Flutie and Smirnoff will put on a Bollywood number to "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire.

The Steelers' Antonio Brown and his partner closed the show with their rendition of "Footloose." Though there was some tension during the week as Brown's partner seemed to believe they didn't stand a chance at victory, the two pledged to be a team going forward.

Hoping to make a splash and come back from last week's string of 8's, "Good Morning America" meteorologist Ginger Zee performed a jazz dance to Janet Jackson's "Nasty." Her partner took a backseat in a number that was heavily centered on Zee. All of the judges agreed the number was great, but they wanted more Janet Jackson-esque attitude from Zee.

The pressure was on for model and actor Nyle DiMarco and his partner, as during last week's partner swap he received the elusive perfect 10. Coming into the week as the frontrunner, DiMarco's original partner, Peta, had to make sure she kept his momentum going. The two recreated the famous dance scene from the 1994 film "The Mask."
