Did You Know the Rival Teams Feast Together?
Every year, before the big Thanksgiving day matchup, the two teams dine together.

And before they rumble, they dine.
On Tuesday at noon, Mayor Setti Warren joins rival football clubs Newton North and Brookline for the thirty-first annual Thanksgiving football luncheon.
At the Brae Burn Country Club, the Rotary Clubs of Newton and Brookline host the coaches, players and cheerleaders from both programs “to celebrate the spirit of the Thanksgiving Day rivalry and to honor individuals who have demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship.”
