Dunkin' Donuts Unveils New Order-Ahead App
Users in the Boston area can place their order ahead of time at select locations.

NEWTON, MA - Love Dunkin' Donuts but hate waiting for it?
Pretty soon you won't have to. New England's premier donut purveyor is testing out its mobile ordering app at select Massachusetts and Rhode Island locations, including two in Newton at 1148 Beacon Street and 138 Needham Street, starting Tuesday.
According to the Boston Herald, the "Dunkin' VIP" app that offers the service will only be available to Dunkin' Perks members and can only accessible from an iPhone. Through the app customers will be able to order up to 24 hours in advance and can save orders for future use.

The success of the feature at Dunkin's 125 locations in the Portland, Maine region prompted the expansion south.
Dunkin' joins Starbucks in offering mobile order and pay features; the Seattle-based coffee company launched its own click-and-order app in 2015.
