Elderly Driver Cited for Wrong-Way Crash in Newton: Reports
The 80-year-old Westwood man will be cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, wrong way operation and marked lanes violation.

NEWTON, MA – The elderly driver of a car that drove the wrong way down the Mass. Pike before crashing in Newton will be cited.
The 80-year-old Westwood man will be cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, wrong way operation and marked lanes violation, reports say. According to Fox 25, his license has also been revoked.
State police officials told the Newton TAB the man was headed toward Boston when he went in the wrong direction at the Allston-Brighton tolls on Monday; he ultimately crashed into the median in Newton.

The man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, three cars crashed in the breakdown lane after his collision with the median; no one was hurt, the Newton TAB reported.
