EMILY's List Endorses Ruthanne Fuller For Mayor Of Newton

The organization works to fund political campaigns for Democratic, pro-choice women.

NEWTON, MA — EMILY's List, the largest resource for women in politics, has officially endorsed Ruthanne Fuller in the race for mayor of Newton, according to a news release from Fuller's office.

EMILY's List was created in 1985 to fund political campaigns for Democratic, pro-choice women. The organization continues to fundraise for these candidates, as well as recruit candidates, mobilize voters, and win elections. EMILY's List praised Fuller for the work she has done for the families of Newton.

“EMILY’s List is proud to endorse Mayor Ruthanne Fuller in her reelection campaign," says the endorsement. "Ruthanne has shown herself to be a courageous leader who will always work diligently for Newton’s families."

"As Newton’s first woman mayor, Ruthanne has prioritized the health and well-being of all her constituents and we are confident she will continue to be a dedicated public servant during her next term as mayor," it continues.

The endorsement provides access to experts in fundraising, campaigning, and the support of a grassroots community of over five million members, said Fuller. It adds to a list of community leaders who have already voiced their support for Fuller's campaign.
