Review American Jewish poetry and its reflection of Jewish life and thought at the beginning, middle and latter half of the 20th century in a four-week class at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Poets covered include Emma Lazarus, Charles Reznikoff, George Oppen, Allen Ginsberg, Irving Feldman, Alicia Ostriker, and others. Copies of poems provided. Jewish American Life Through Jewish American Poets takes place on Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm, beginning September 20. Cost is $65. Open to all.
