Mount Ida College’s Longfellow Preschool is pleased to announce its 17th Annual Children’s Art Show and Lecture on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chamberlayne Design Gallery. The annual art show called “Images, Ideas, and Investigations” will celebrate the creativity and self-expression of children from three to five years old in the Longfellow Preschool program.
Following the art show, Hugh Hanley, early childhood educator and entertainer, will lecture on “Songs for Circle Time…or Any Time”, featuring a hands-on workshop of songs, fingerplays and music activities in Carlson Hall Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. The lecture is free to the Mount Ida community, including students, faculty and staff. Members of the public can attend the event for a cost of $25 and are eligible to receive professional development points.
