Janet Albert's work is not preconceived or static. It is not intended to imitate nature, nor does it express any particular meaning. Intuitively, the act of painting itself leads the artist to a place she had not anticipated and perhaps so too, the viewer. A graduate of the Rhode Island school of design, Janet Albert began as a potter and moved on to painting. This show titled Conversations with Color reflects her love for color which continues be a motivating factor in her work.
