Author Talk - Agewise: Fighting the New Ageism in America by Margaret Morganroth Gullette

Come to the Newton Free Library for an author talk with Margaret Morganroth Gullette, who will discuss her book Agewise: Fighting the New Ageism in America.

This book speaks against the rampant ageism in our society and shows that the vast majority of problems we associate with aging are actually a product of ageism. Gullette lays out an ambitious plan for fighting ageism that includes teaching children antiageism, bolstering our social safety nets and rethinking our approach to age-related memory loss and physical decline. The talk will be followed by a book signing with books provided by New England Mobile Book Fair.
