Author Talk - Composing a Further Life: The Age of Active Wisdom by Mary Catherine Bateson

Come to the Newton Free Library for an author talk with Mary Catherine Bateson who will discuss her new book Composing a Further Life: The Age of Active Wisdom. In her book, she presents how, since the beginning of the 20th century, human life expectancy has increased. Bateson notes that we have created the first four-generation society in history and also a new stage of the life cycle which she calls “Adulthood II.” With unprecedented levels of health, energy, time and resources, what does this mean for all of us?
