Come to the Newton Free Library for an author talk with Mark Williams where he will discuss his new book Uncontrolled Risk: The Lessons of Lehman Brothers and How Systemic Risk Can Still Bring Down the World Financial System.
In his book, Williams not only discusses the rise and fall of an influential investment bank, but also traces the root causes of the 2008 financial crisis and provides policy recommendations on how to fix the problem. "An economy can only be as strong or weak as its banks; Lehman Brothers is our case in point," he said.
The talk will be followed by a book signing with books provided by New England Mobile Book Fair.
