Though few American tourists travel there, the Emilia-Romagna region of northeast Italy produces some of the world's most recognizable and treasured gourmet food products. Join our talented foodie instructors, who have traveled in the region and brought home recipes. We'll prepare meal using regional ingredients that are available locally, like balsamic vinegar from Modena,Parma-style prosciutto (cured ham), and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. You'll also learn about the culinary traditions of regional capital Bologna, nicknamed "La Grassa" (That means The Fat One, and the name speaks for itself. ) This class is not suitable for vegetarians. A $20 food fee is included in the tuition.
