"Drop In And Decorate" at Create a Cook

Chefs at the Create a Cook kitchen will bake dozens of cookies, and the public is invited to drop in and decorate them. We'll provide all the frosting and some refreshments to keep the decorators happy, and everyone from kids to grownups can come in and make the cookies beautiful.

The cookies will be donated to The Second Step, a local Newtonville organization which helps families in transition as they recover from domestic abuse situations. Their website is www.thesecondstep.org

Drop In and Decorate is a holiday season event that was started by a Rhode Island food blogger named Lydia Walshin. Her dream is to build bridges of caring and respect between groups in their own communities. She encourages people to find an organization within their own community, and does her best to facilitate those connections... It is a unique way to have fun and give back. Her website is www.dropinanddecorate.org

Create a Cook is a cooking school for everyone. Kids and adults can take workshops or classes where they learn to cook fresh, healthy meals for themselves and their friends. After all, eating delicious food is one of life's great pleasures. Create a Cook's website is located at www.createacook.com
