Heritage Chorale/BC Symphony: Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise (Lobgesang)"

The Heritage Chorale, Metrowest’s Premiere Choral Ensemble, opens its Gala 75th Anniversary season in collaboration with the Boston College Symphony Orchestra
by presenting “Hymn of Praise/Lobgesang” (Symphony #2) by Felix Mendelssohn, John Finney Conductor.  Mendelssohn
referred to “Lobgesang” as a “symphony-cantata”, an apt description as it includes an extensive cantata for soloists, chorus and orchestra, text from Psalm 150 and stanzas of the beloved Thanksgiving hymn “Now Thank We All Our God”.    Featured soloists will be sopranos Dominique Labelle and Laurie Stewart Otten, and Michael Calmès, tenor.

The Heritage Chorale is a 90-member non-profit auditioned chorus based in Framingham.  For more information visit www.heritagechorale.org
