Seniors, join the video and book discussion group, at the Newton Senior Center. The former video discussion group will take a new twist where participants will view films and read the books on which they are based. In some instances, there are two movies based on the same book (a more recent remake) and the group will view both.
All books are available at the Newton Free Library/Minuteman Library Network in regular edition, large print, and books on tape/CD.
The group will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 3:30 p.m. from June 14 through July 19.

- June 14th – view “Evening” (book by Susan Minot)
- June 21st – view “The End of the Affair” 1955 (book by Graham Greene)
- June 28th – view “The End of the Affair” 1999
- July 5th – view “The Joy Luck Club” (book by Amy Tan)
- July 12th – view “Of Mice and Men” 1939 (book by John Steinbeck)
- July 19th – view “Of Mice and Men” 1992
