Thank You Reception to the Korean Cultural Volunteer Outreach for Book Donation

Come to the Newton Free Library to join them for a special reception for the Korean Cultural Volunteer Outreach (KCVO) in gratitude to them for their donation of 500 Korean books to the Newton Free Library. They collected the books from donors including book stores and publishers in Korea and the New England area Korean community.

Now housed in the Korean language area on the second floor of the library (children’s titles are in the Children’s Room), the new collection has non-fiction and fiction books including best-sellers in Korea and the U.S., as well as titles for teens and children. There are also books in English about Korean history.

In attendance at the reception will be General Consul Kangho Park along with several of his consuls, the Korean Society of New England president, members of the Korean community and library staff. The students who worked on the project last summer will be giving a special presentation based on their research and work on the folktales. The public, including families and children, are welcome!
