Come to Newton North High School for a performance of Charles Mee's Big Love by Theatre Ink, Newton North's teaching and working theatre.
Directed by Katherine Norris and Caleb Bromberg, the play was inspired by the greek classic "The Danaides" by Aeschylus. Mee causes the audience to reconsider their definitions of love, gender, an happiness in this story of 50 brides-to-be who run away from their arranged marriages in Greece. Once tracked down by their husbands, there is a war of the sexes that speaks to what it means to be a man or a woman.
