WALTHAM RIVERFEST 2012

Riverfest is a celebration of the wonderful resources, both natural and artistic that run though the heart of Waltham.

June 15th 5PM-9PM. Sat June 16th 10AM-5PM, and Sunday June 17th 11AM-5PM

We hope to bring hundreds if not thousands of adults as well as children to the downtown for music, dancing, painting, strolling, shopping, eating, and boating.  There will be wrist bands sold which will get you discounts on food and merchandise at local stores and restaurants.  You can participate in Paint the River, our Silent Auction,  and see many artists and vendors showing wares as well.

This year there will be new and exciting additions to the music and entertainment. The Moody Street Bridge will closed on one side, and have Art Vendors along the length of it on Saturday.

There will be a Guided Nature Walk hosted by the Waltham Land Trust that will depart from the Family Activity/Footbridge area of Landry Park at Noon on Sunday the 17th.  We'll walk downstream for about 45 minutes, then turn around and head back, returning well in time for the River Ceremony at 2pm.

There is no charge for any events, but we will be selling wrist bands that allow the wearers to receive discounts and special offers from local businesses and vendors along the Moody and Main Street venue.

We are still looking for volunteers, vendors, and local businesses to participate... Visit our website athttp://www.walthamrive... for more details, and application forms.  We hope to see you and your family and friends at Riverfest 2012!
