A free concert, a walk through the woods and a workshop on college admissions.

1. College admissions workshop. Looking for some advice on the college admissions process? Mark Greenstein, founder of Ivy Bound, and Stephen Friedfeld, former admissions officer at Cornell and Princeton, will offer some help on how to improve your son's/daughter's application. 2. Flood Watch. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Newton and much of Southern New England for tonight into tomorrow. According to the flood watch, heavy rainfall to the tune of 2 to 4 inches is expected to fall Sunday night into Monday. While flooding of major rivers is unlikely, small streams and areas with poor drainage have prompted the watch.
3. Cutler Pond walk. The Newton Conservators is scheduled to hold a guided walk through the woods by Cutler Pond today starting at 2 p.m. Meet at the Cutler Pond DCR parking lot on Kendrick Street just across the Charles River in Needham.

4. Free concert. The will host the Willow Flute Ensemble this afternoon for a free concert at 2 p.m. The group will perform works by Monteverdi, Bach and more.
