3. Championship swim meet. The will host the "A" level championship swim meet for the South Suburban Summer Swim League today at . The meet should wrap up around 3 p.m. or so, at which point Gath Pool will reopen to the public. If you're looking to swim before 3 p.m.,  from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.

4. Perseid meteor shower. If the weather cooperates, you may have a chance to catch the Perseid meteor shower at its peak tonight.
