4. Babe Ruth baseball. The regular season is winding down for the Babe Ruth league in Newton, but a few games are left. The Village Bankers will face the Auburndale Warriors today at Albemarle Filed (250 Albemarle Road) at 6 p.m. and the Avalon Bay Angels will face Barr & Cole at Albemarle Field at 8:30 p.m. Playoffs are scheduled to begin next week.
5. Bluefish for the win! The undefeated Newton Bluefish swim team (6-0) remained undefeated after yesterday's big win at against the Framingham Frogs, who were also undefeated (until yesterday's match). This is the second big week in a row for the Bluefish, as the team recorded its 500th win against Sherborn last week. We will have full coverage from yesterday's meet posted later today. Congrats!
