1. Blood drive. The will hold a blood drive today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
2. Hazardous waste drop-off. Wednesday household hazardous waste drop-offs will take place today and continue until June 27. Items can be dropped off at the from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Check the city website for details on what items you can drop off.
3. Women in networking event. The Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce will host a program today titled Emotional Intelligence and Professional Success with Principal Career and Performance Coach Jane McHale. The event will take place at the at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

4. Historic Newton annual meeting. Historic Newton will host its annual meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the . Beryl Rosenthal, director of the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, will be the guest speaker. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. with the speaking program starting at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public.
5. Newton Babe Ruth baseball. The Village Bankers will play the Avalon Bay Angels today at ; the Elks will face the Barr & Cole team in Upper Falls; and the Newton-Wellesley Hospital team will face the Boys Club at Albemarle Field. All games start at 6 p.m.
