Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 15
A circus showcase, American Legion baseball and the last day of school!

1. Last Day of School! Today is the last day of school for students in the Newton Public Schools. Have a safe and happy summer! (Last day for teachers is Mon., June 18).
2. Simply Circus Student Showcase. Students with Simply Circus, a circus arts school in Newton, will hold a showcase tonight at the Simply Circus studio (86 Nevada St.) starting at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
3. Electronics drop-off. Need to recycle an appliance, TV or computer? The Rumford Avenue Recycling Depot (115 Rumford Ave.) hosts special drop-off times on Fridays and Saturdays once a month. Today from 8 a.m. - noon you can head down to the Recycling Depot and drop off your electronics. There will be a $12 fee to recycle each TV or computer monitor, but all other electronics or appliances will be accepted free of charge.

4. District 5 American Legion Baseball. Weston American Legion baseball team (0-2) will face the Newton Post 440 team (1-1) in a game this evening at 6 p.m. The game will take place at Albemarle Field in Newton.
