1. Parks & Recreation awards. The Newton Parks & Recreation Department will present its annual community awards tonight at 7 p.m. in the Aldermanic Chamber at  

2. Bicycle Advisory Committee. The Newton Bicycle Advisory Committee will meet tonight at 5 p.m. in room 202 at . 

3. Board of Aldermen. The Board of Aldermen will meet tonight in the chamber at City Hall (following the Parks & Rec awards). The board will likely vote on funding for the F.A. 4. Babe Ruth baseball. The Newton Babe Ruth baseball teams will play a number of games today. The Avalon Bay Angels will face the Village Bankers at at 6 p.m.; Barr & Cole will face the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Team in Upper Falls at 6 p.m.; and the Elks will face the Auburndale Warriors at Albemarle Field (250 Albemarle Road) at 8:30 p.m.

5. Last day of school for teachers. Newton Public School teachers will have their last day of the 2011-2012 school year today. Happy summer!
