A 'Greening Our Community' program, Land Use Meets and Community Grants with the Newton Rotary.

1. Community Grants Day. The Newton Rotary Club will award its annual Community Grants today during its meeting at the . Some recipients include the , the , the , the , the and several others. The meeting is set to start at noon.

2. Greening our Community. The will host the final program in its "Greening Our Community" series with an event tonight titled The program will feature Mayor Setti Warren and members of city staff, who will outline some municipal efforts to make a more sustainable community. The event starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

4. Land Use. The Board of Aldermen's Land Use Committee will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the chamber at . The committee will hold a number of public hearings in the chamber followed by a working session in room 222. For more details on tonight's meeting, check out the agenda in the .pdf section above. 

5. Swingin'. The Swing Band plays most Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the center. Stop by to hear some tunes or play with the group!
