Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 24

A Historic Newton walk, a book party and a free concert.

1. Free concert. The will host a free concert by Adrian Jojatu and Friends at 2 p.m. The concert will feature works by F. Seitz, W. A Mozart, Glinka and C. M. von Weber.

2. Historic Newton walks. Local church historian Beverly Hurney will lead a tour of Cemetery today and share stories of the Civil War soldiers buried at the cemetery. The tour will take place at 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public. 

3. Book party. will hold a book party today to celebrate the publication of Given Away: Poems by Jennifer Barber. The event will run from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
