Five Things You Need to Know Today: June 26
The final NNHS Liaison Committee meeting, a Community Preservation Committee meeting and a presentation on a new proposed plan for the Riverside Station.
1. Riverside Station development proposal. The developers at BH Normandy will present their new designs tonight for a proposed mixed-use development at the Riverside Station site. The meeting will be run by the Land Use Committee and will be held in the Aldermanic Chamber at starting at 7 p.m. .
2. Final NNHS Liaison Committee meeting. Now that construction at the new Newton North has wrapped up, the Liaison Committee will hold its last meeting tonight in the Newton North lecture hall at 6:30 p.m. According to an email from city Chief Operating Officer Bob Rooney, the meeting will cover details and information on warranties, a cost report as well as activities to model for future Newton school building projects.
3. American Legion baseball. The Newton American Legion Post 440 baseball team will face Natick today at Albemarle Field (250 Albemarle Road). The game is set to start at 6 p.m.

4. Community Preservation meeting. The Newton Community Preservation Committee will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the r. Tonight's agenda includes a pre-proposal for affordable housing in Newtonville as well as discussion about projects that could qualify for Community Preservation Act funds.
