Newton South holds graduation, an author talk and a community meeting at a possible new restaurant spot.

1. Newton South graduation. The Newton South Class of 2012 will graduate today! The ceremony will be held in the Field House starting at 5 p.m. If you want to watch the graduation ceremony but can't make it to the school, a live stream of the event will be available online.
2. Community meeting in Newton Centre. The owners of the popular Ten Tables restaurants will hold a community meeting in Newton Centre today about The meeting will be held at the potential restaurant location, 755 Beacon St., and will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
3. Author talk. The will host an author talk tonight with Bruce Watson, author of the 2007 book, . A book signing will follow the free discussion, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Books will be available for purchase from the New England Mobile Book Fair.

4. Tournament games. Several Newton teams will play in MIAA spring tournament games today, inclding: the Newton North softball vs. Acton-Boxborough in the North Div. 1 semifinals at Martin Field in Lowell starting at 7:30 p.m., and the Newton North baseball team vs. Acton-Boxborough in the North Div. 1 semifinals at Salem State University starting at 4 p.m.
5. Sketch comedy. 's Theatre Ink will present an evening of sketch comedy titled Nitrous Oxide tonight in the Little Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 and available online.
