Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 13

Info on summer camps at the YMCA, swing music and an event for future NSHS parents.

1. MSPP opening a facility on Wells Ave. The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (MSPP) (currently based in West Roxbury) is planning to open a campus at One Wells Avenue in Newton. The Land Use Committee will hold a working session tonight on the proposal. The committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the chamber at for public hearings, and will hold the working session afterward in room 222. 

2. Summer camp info night. The will hold an information night tonight for their various summer camps. The open house starts at 6:30 p.m.

4. Swingin'. The will be filled with toe-tappin' tunes this morning at the regular swing band rehearsal. All are invited to join! Stop by to play some tunes or to dance a bit. The music starts at 9:30 a.m.

5. Parents night at Newton South. Tonight is the new parents night. Parents of eighth grade students heading to Newton South next year are welcome to the event, which starts at 7 p.m. in the Newton South Fieldhouse.
