Five Things You Need to Know Today: March 24

1. Newtonville Books' last day on Walnut Street is today! With the upcoming move to Newton Centre,  last day on Walnut Street in Newtonville is today. Their grand opening at the new store will be Thursday, April 5 at 7 p.m.

2. Free pizza party! Our friends over in Newton Highlands are holding a free pizza party this evening at the ! A number of local restaurants including , , , and , will provide the free pizza. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

3. Free Open House. will hold a free open house today from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. A local representative for the Vitamin Shoppe will be on hand to answer questions, raffles will be held and will provide a healthy breakfast. 

4. The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook. The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook authors Judy Gelman and Peter Zheutlin will be at the today. The authors will be available to answer questions about their book from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

5. Community yard sale. The will hold a community yard sale today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Books, jewelry, food, home and children's goods will be available. All proceeds will benefit the local and national community service projects of First Baptist Church.
