2. Benefit concert for Geoff Quinn. Members and friends of the Boston Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert tonight in Chestnut Hill to benefit Geoff Quinn, a 39-year-old pastor-in-training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, who is battling metastatic cancer. The concert starts at 8 p.m. at . Donations will be accepted. 

3. Go Tigers! The boys' varsity volleyball team will face Norwood High in a home match today at 4 p.m.

4. Fourth Grade Funtastic Friday. The Newton Parks & Recreation Department and the (NCSC) will present a Fourth Grade Funtastic Friday event tonight at the NCSC. The even runs from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and includes games, music and more. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase. Tickets are $7 for the evening. Artists have the opportunity to transform common, bland, green or gray utility boxes into visual, graphic and distinctive works of art.
