Five Things You Need to Know Today: May 20

Waban Village Day, a seedling sale and the city's annual Memorial Day parade.

1. Memorial Day parade. The city of Newton today starting at 2 p.m. The parade will kick off from and proceed down Washington Street, up Walnut Street and down Watertown Street to Coletti-Magni Park in Nonantum. Following the parade, there will be a community picnic and celebration from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. at on Hawthorn Street.

2. Waban Village Day. The will be held in Waban Square today from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be music, food, rides, crafts and a fun run will start at 10 a.m.

3. Seedling Sale. The will hold the second day of today from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Friends of the farm will be able to stop by for a presale from noon - 1 p.m. Four or six packs of seeds will be $5. Cash or checks only.

4. Free Concert. The will host a free concert today with EunMi Ko on piano. The concert, which starts at 2 p.m., will feature works by Albeniz, Grieg, Chopin, Tann and Beethoven.
