School Committee meets, storytelling at the library and some great news from the Newton North and South track teams.

1. School Committee. The Newton School Committee will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. (note the earlier time) in the . The committee has a packed agenda tonight, including a public forum on and the from the Newton Schools Foundation. 

2. Art Show. The Student Art Show will continue this week on the second floor of the school above the main office. Make sure to check it out before it ends on Thursday.

3. Katja and the Righteous Gentiles. Storyteller Maria Cardarelli Puzzanghero will recount one of her most popular stories,  tonight at the . A question and answer session will follow the program, which starts at 7 p.m.

4. Centre Street Food Pantry. As it is every Tuesday, the Centre Street Food Pantry (located at ) will be open today from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Eligible people are welcome to shop once per month for a three-day supply of food. Donations of non-perishable food items are always welcome and may be dropped off during pantry hours. 

5. Congrats, boys' and girls' outdoor track teams! According to the MIAA tournament website, the boys' and girls' outdoor track team both had great finishes at the MIAA Div. 1 East championships on Sunday, taking home first place in both competitions. We'll have more details later today.
