Flooding Causes Accident On Mass Pike In Newton

The accident was caused by road flooding due to inclement weather.

NEWTON, MA — Newton firefighters responded to an accident on the Mass Pike Friday morning, said the Newton Fire Department.

The accident was caused by road flooding due to inclement weather, officials said. No injuries were reported.

"Our @DpwNewton is hard at work, we are noticing some ice out there and minor road flooding,” said the department. "We responded to an accident on the Mass pike earlier due to the flooding. Please use caution when driving.“

This is just one of a number of crashes that are slowing down roads in Greater Boston Friday morning due to icy conditions.
