Max's dad, Brian, played 10 seasons in the NFL, including six for New England in which he made the Pro Bowl team three times as an offensive tackle and was part of the 1985 team which made the Super Bowl.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Holloway was heading west on Lutz Lake Fern Road around 2:28 a.m. Oct. 27. As Holloway drove his 2008 black Dodge Charger east of Heritage Harbor Parkway, deputies say he failed to negotiate a curve.

Holloway’s vehicle ran off the road, moved in a northwest direction and struck a utility pole. The Charger kept moving northwest after hitting the pole. Deputies say the car drove through a ditch, struck several trees and then hit the outside of a home in the 4000 block of Sandy Shores Drive. The vehicle overturned and ended up on its roof in the home’s backyard, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.
