Gas Drops Below $3 in Parts of Mass.--But Not in Newton
Gas prices hit a low of $3.26 in Newton this week.

Gas prices this week plummeted to their lowest levels of the year—dropping below $3 a gallon in some parts of Massachusetts.
In Newton, prices remained well above $3. Here’s a look at the lowest prices in town as of Tuesday, according to GasBuddy:
- Jacob’s Auto Service & Gas, $3.26
- BP, $3.29
- Sunoco, $3.29
- West Newton Gas, $3.29
- Sunoco, $3.29
The price of gas has been driven down by low demand and abundant supplies, according to the Associated Press.
