Giant Cable Spool Crashes Into Pole In Newton
Miraculously, no one was reported hurt in the great cable spool getaway this afternoon, according to first responders.

NEWTON, MA — A giant spool of cable rolled off a trailer rolled down a hill and crashed into a utility pole on Route 9 this afternoon in Newton near the corner of Chestnut Street.
It missed hitting anyone on the way down and there were no injuries, according to the Fire Department which first responded when the spool escaped, unless you count the damage to the telephone pole and fence along Chestnut Street which stopped the roll.
Police were on the scene, though no word how this has affected area traffic. Police did not immediately return request for comment.
