Hadassah Northeast Honored with Prestigious Award

NEW YORK CITY - Hadassah Northeast was honored with the prestigious Hannah L. Goldberg award at Hadassah’s 99th National Convention on Thursday, July 18 for its program 'Standing with Israel in 2018: Challenges and Opportunities.’

Each year since 1981, the Zionist Education Department of Hadassah has presented the prestigious Hannah L. Goldberg Award to the most outstanding group focused on Zionist Education and Zionist Advocacy. The award honors the memory of a great leader while acknowledging the importance that Hadassah places on the study of Jewish/Zionist culture and history.

Hadassah Northeast held a series of six dynamic presentations that involved three key aspects: the facts about Israel, how to advocate for Israel and how to use social media to influence the narrative about Israel. The presenters included representatives from Hadassah, StandWithUs, Israel Advocacy Alliance and Israeli American Council.

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to the land, the people, and the future of Israel. Through education, advocacy, and youth development, and its support of medical care and research at Hadassah Medical Organization, Hadassah enhances the health and lives of people in Israel, the United States and worldwide.

Hadassah Northeast and its membership host events and programming in three geographic regions: Northern New England (Maine, New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts), Boston, and Southern New England (parts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island).
