Hockey Coach Charged With Molesting Newton Boy: District Attorney
The man abused the boy starting in 2015, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office announced today.

NEWTON, MA — A private hockey coach was indicted on charges related to molesting a child in Newton in addition to being accused of sexually assaulting eight boys in Marblehead the District Attorney's office announced today.
Christopher Prew, 31 of Marblehead was indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on one count of indecent assault and battery on a child who was known to the defendant through his position as a hockey coach.
The alleged conduct happened several times in the victim's Newton home beginning in 2015. The defendant will be arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court on March 2, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced. Indictment is not a conviction. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Eight boys as young as 6, including two Marblehead brothers, accused the private hockey coach of molesting them, Patch previously reported. Prew ran Hot Shot Academy, an athletic and educational business. The Facebook and website has been taken down for that company.
