"Hooked on Newton" - Yarn Public Art
We plan to install your knitted and crocheted images of birds, flowers, water, sailboats, frogs and fish in the park at Crystal Lake.

Be part of a creative, public art project that will certainly get everyone "Hooked on Newton”. Using Crystal Lake as our palette, we plan to install your knitted and crocheted images of birds, flowers, water, sailboats, frogs and fish on the trees, fences and benches in the park. “Can you knit or crochet? Would you like to learn how? We need people of all skilled levels - in other words WE NEED YOU!” says Paula Gannon, the Chair of the “Hooked on Newton” event, a project of the 2017 Newton Festival of the Arts.
Please join us in an introductory meeting to learn more about this project on Wednesday February 8th 12:00 -1:00 pm, or Thursday February 16th 7:00- 8:00 pm at Newton Cultural Center at Newton City Hall. For more information, call 617-796-1540. RSVP to musicbypaula@gmail.com
