I-90 Traffic Backed Up Past Newton Exit 16 After Brighton Fatal Crash
After a fatal crash in Brighton, two lanes are closed.

NEWTON, MA — One person is dead and at least one other was critically injured in a crash that has backed the Mass Pike up past exit 16 in Newton, almost to exit 15 State Police said.
Police said it appears the driver of a pickup truck stopped to secure a trailer load, when a BMW slammed into the trailer. One of those who was securing the trailer is dead and the other critically injured said police. The driver of the BMW has also been injured.
State Police said that the crash happened in the eastbound lanes in Brighton near the New Balance building. MassDOT says two lanes have been closed eastbound.
