ICON Salon Opens in Newton

Elan Sassoon (son of the legendary hairstylist Vidal Sassoon) and Marco Evangelisti have officially opened New England’s new luxury salon destination, ICON Salon, in the heart of Newton Centre.

Sassoon and Evangelisti have been in the salon industry for more than 30 years, and the debut of Icon Salon expands upon their prior work through top-of-the-line design, creativity, and innovation in hair, spa and nail services, as well as a curated selection of professional hair care products from coveted brands including Kerastase, Oribe and MoroccanOil, said the announcement.

Described as “chic and sophisticated,” the destination occupies 2,500 square feet and features a lounge and modern spa area in addition to the salon space.

“The opening of ICON Salon defines an exciting moment for myself and Marco,” said Sassoon in a statement. “The salon appropriately captures the vision for our brand, leading us into this next exciting chapter.”

ICON Salon is located at 213 Sumner St., Newton Centre.
