ICYMI: Manhunt Underway For Suspect in Newton Armed Robbery
Police said the man robbed the Gulf gas station on Beacon Street Tuesday night.

NEWTON, MA – Police are searching for a man who they say brandished a weapon while robbing a gas station in Newton Tuesday night.
According to police, the robbery occurred shortly before 9 p.m. at the Gulf on Beacon Street. The man allegedly presented a "long gun" and spoke to the clerk before being handed an indeterminate amount of cash and fleeing east down Beacon Street, Lt. Bruce Apotheker told Patch.
He is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, possibly Hispanic and wearing green pants, a gray jacket, gray hat and a white cloth over his face.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
Authorities continue their manhunt Wednesday and are asking anyone with information to contact the police.
