Indy is a sweet and gentle boy who lives for belly rubs! In his short time here, he's become a favorite of a number of volunteers, who can often be seen visiting with him as he lounges in his comfy bed. Indy, who is about one-year-old, is a bit on the shy side, but is always up for a visit. Here at the shelter, he seems to do fine with other cats, so he might be a good companion for your laid back kitty. Indy was found as a stray, but we know he’s so happy to be safe and warm at our shelter. We think he’d blossom in a quiet home with lots of love and attention.
If you are interested in meeting Indy or any of the cats at The Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter, visit our website (www.giffordcatshelter.org). While you’re there, you can fill out an online adoption application for Indy and learn more about our shelter. You can also call us at 617-787-8872. We are the oldest cageless no-kill cat shelter in the country, and we’re located right here in Brighton!
The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to take in homeless cats, provide them with high quality care in a cageless and no-kill environment, and find healthy and loving permanent homes for them. It was the first cageless shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
