Yes it is! The old saying breakfast is the most important meal of the day is so true. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is what jump starts your metabolism for the day. When you are sleeping your body goes through a process of what is called a catabolism. Meaning your body will break done its muscle tissue for energy. This also happens when you exercise too much and or go to long without eating. Muscle is easier to convert into energy than fat is. Eating breakfast within 30 minutes upon waking will stop this process and kick start your metabolism to operate the most efficiently through out the day. Your best bet for breakfast is a complex carb such as oatmeal or a protein such as eggs. Protein shakes are also another option for people who are just starting to eat in the morning and just have a hard time eating in the morning. But don’t worry your body will get used to it, mine did. Also try to eat something every three hours after. Do not get so long that you get hunger pains. Also for those who workout, have a protein shake within 30 minutes after exercise. This will all go straight to your muscle recovery process. Muscle recovery is the most important part of exercising. Work hard, stay fit and live long healthy happy lives.
