At Least 7 Cars Broken Into: Police

A blue Fender bass guitar appears to be the only item that was stolen.

NEWTON, MA - Multiple vehicles were reported to have been broken into Thursday night, according to police reports.

Three women said their cars had been rummaged through during the night on Elmwood Street on Feb. 4, according to police reports. A man also said his car was broken into on bordering Russel Road, police reported.

There were reports of similar incidents that night on Hennewell Avenue and Baldwin Street, according to police reports.

Nothing appeared to be missing from any of the vehicles except for a blue Fender guitar that was reported stolen from a car parked on Barnes Avenue, police reports showed.

Some of the break-ins may have taken place on Wednesday night. It is unclear if all of the break-ins were committed by the same person.
